Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced MERN Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain web applications using the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) stack. As a MERN Stack Developer, you will be responsible for creating responsive and efficient web applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Frontend Development: Develop user-friendly and responsive web interfaces using React.js and related libraries.
Backend Development: Design and implement server-side logic using Node.js and Express.js, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Database Management: Work with MongoDB to design and optimize database schemas, perform data migrations, and ensure data integrity.
API Development: Create robust RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs when necessary.
Code Optimization: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Testing: Implement unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and functionality of the applications.
Collaboration: Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the codebase, APIs, and technical solutions for reference and future development.
Deployment: Deploy applications to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Heroku) and manage the deployment process.
Bug Fixing: Identify and resolve software defects and issues promptly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience working with the MERN stack and building web applications from scratch.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (both frontend and backend).
Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations.
Solid understanding of database design and management using MongoDB.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and related frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Experience with containerization and deployment tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.
